This John Doe Iron Boot is a classic (borderline fancy) handmade leather boot that boasts serious motorcycle specific protectionand they have the test results to prove it.
As if the thick 1.1mm cowhide wasnt enough, these boots are lined with John Does XTM Fiber, a blend of Cordura and Kevlarmeaning itll take a chainsaw to cut through these boots.
The ankle, heel cup and toe box all are reinforced, too.
What the Iron boots are not (nor are any John Doe boots) is waterproofand thats a good thing. Not if it rains, of course. But on the sunny and probably warm days, whether youre putting in miles on the bike or on foot, these boots wont heat up like a true waterproof boot will.
Theyre still plenty water-resistant, thanks to thick oiled leather sole and a gusset on the tongue thatll dissuade the influx of water.
The same Iron boot is availableinthis all-black color with this "V2.0" version, or the original version, which features a classic crepe white sole, with the option of a vintage brown or a black upper.
All the Iron boots comes with a tooled leather shifter patch, an oil-resistat and a vibration-dampening sole.
Like all John Does products, these boots are made in Europe. In this case: Portugal, which has a rich tradition in hand-made boots.
